ProofPoint Spam Portal
How to check for emails held in the ProofPoint spam portal.
1. Login to your account at: Proofpoint Protection Server These credentials are the same that are used for sending a secure email via outlook. For credentials questions, contact VDMC IT.
2. Open your "Spam - Quarantined" folder to see all current emails being quarantined for your account.
3. Select the email you need to take action on and then select the action you want to take for that email.
- Find: Allows you to search for a specific quarantined email
- Release: Releases the email that the system reported as spam to your inbox.
- Not Spam: Tells the system to rescore that email, and that you do not think that email was fraudulent.
- Allow Sender: Lets all future emails from that address through. *This should only be done for trusted sources.*
